Monday night Boy died. I guess because that abscess popped on it's own, it may have popped internally too, and the bacteria infected him. I read that when they have abscesses on their faces or head that it's even more likely for them to get sick. It all happened so fast, though... I guess I'm thankful that it did, so he didn't suffer for a long time or something, but I didn't quite get a chance to grasp it all.

You know, for a long time, I was really worried about him for stupid little things. I thought he was old, I thought his sense of smell was messed up. Ask anyone I ever talked about him to, I was always saying "I'm worried about Boy" or that I was afraid he was gonna die soon, when really I guess he was fine... I was such a worry wart, and all that worrying made me feel like I might have been prepared for when it happened. But I wasn't.

The most fucked up part about it was that at least two people made fun of me for it. Why? Why would you do that- because he was a rat? What kind of a friend does that to you?

Uugh, anyway... he's gone now. When I noticed him slowing down and trying to lay up at the back of his cage, I took him out and bundled him in a towel and cradled him for a good while before he finally just gave up and went... I had to try really hard to find out how the hell I was gonna bury him. I couldn't bury him around here, and this house gets so hot... In the end I wound up taking him to the humane society to be cremated, but I couldn't afford his ashes... But I'm just glad he didn't get thrown away, I would have been devistated, and he didn't deserve that.

RIP, Boy. You were the best tranny-rat ever.

Friends are funny little things, aren't they? Sometimes there's no way in hell you can imagine being with out them. Ugh... I really don't want to end up doing this, but I think I'm gonna end up dropping Prince and Mag over at discedo. I've been trying so hard to get their voices back, but it feels pretty much impossible. A long time ago, when I let Prince go quiet, it took so long for me to start playing again that nobody was interested, and there wasn't too much of a will in me to have him tag too many people other than who was left of his CR to begin with. As for Mag, I had to wait until apps reopened when I submitted his and while I was waiting all that time to be accepted, I lost interest in him way before I started.
